We fell in love in Korea. With Korea.
Dillydally Trails is a Korea-specialised travel company built around a simple idea.
Founded by Reetu and Anisha, Dillydally grew out of years of travelling, living and building friendships in Korea. What started with our own search for a different way to experience the country became a way to share it — through small groups, private journeys and days planned around people, food and neighbourhoods.
Before Dillydally, we were advertising professionals who decided to step away from our careers and spend more time travelling. Korea was the place we kept coming back to.
We fell for its people, its food, its neighbourhoods, its history, and the strange feeling of becoming more comfortable in a place that wasn’t ours. Somewhere along the way, Korea became a second home.
We felt there was a gap between the Korea many Indian travellers were curious about and the Korea they could actually experience.
We wanted to make it easier to go deeper — to eat where people actually eat, understand the culture around you, explore beyond the obvious, learn a little Korean, meet people and have experiences you’d never find on your own.
Jeong — a kind of affection and attachment that grows between people over time.
What kept bringing us back wasn’t one thing. It was the people and the way relationships can grow here; an incredibly modern country with deep roots; the food, the neighbourhoods, the little rituals of everyday life — and the feeling of becoming a little more at home every time.
It started with the three of us.
Anisha, Reetu and Hara. But it has never really been just the three of us — our Korean friends, hosts and local partners are a huge part of how we experience Korea.
Meet the people who make Korea feel a little closer.
Meet them on Dillydally Street — an interactive walkWe never set out to create that.
We’ve watched travellers arrive in Korea unsure of themselves and leave with a little more confidence. Some were travelling internationally for the first time. Some returned to Korea to study. Some made friends they still travel with. Somewhere along the way, Dillydally became a community.
We wanted to share the Korea we knew — not a perfect version of it, and not just the Korea you see on a screen.
And because we’re Indian ourselves, we know the little things that can make a big difference. We hope you leave with more than photographs. Maybe you make a friend. Maybe you find a reason to come back.
— Reetu & AnishaHi, I am Reetu — founder of Dillydally Trails.
With a background of 10 years in filmmaking and advertising, I’ve always been drawn to travel. I love trying every kind of food that exists, learning new languages and finding my way around new places. Even though I am a host, I’m also someone who takes a little time to open up. Once I do, though, I’m ride or die for life. I’m a huge K-drama fan and BTS ARMY — and an expert navigator, so if you ever get lost in Korea, I can probably help you find your way back, even from a different country.
Hi, I am Anisha — founder of Dillydally Trails.
People usually describe me as warm and caring, and I genuinely love observing people and getting to know what makes them happy. I’m a foodie and could happily survive on Korean fried chicken every single day. I’m also the person constantly coming up with new concepts and ideas — what you’re seeing right now was probably my idea too. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking, running, doing an unreasonable amount of research or watching K-dramas.
Hi, my name is Jihoon. You can call me Hara.
I’m the founder of Dillydally Korea. I studied theatre and film and started my acting career in 2007, working across musicals, theatre and TV. I’ve also worked as a singer, vocal and acting coach, and Zumba instructor. I run a hostel in Seoul and have been involved in travel for the past three years. I love travelling slowly and seeing how people actually live in a place. What makes me happiest is watching our guests genuinely enjoy the places, food and culture we introduce them to.
Hi, I’m Sunny.
I’m a professional actor and Hara’s best friend. Our guests actually gave me the name Sunny because apparently it matches my personality. My English isn’t the greatest, but I’m pretty good at communicating through my actions — so we’ll figure it out! I’m also your go-to person for drinks, and I’m always happy to have one with you.
Hi, I’m Josh.
I’m a manager at Hara’s hostel and also a host at Dillydally. I love trying different kinds of food and watching Netflix at home. My other favourite hobby is annoying Reetu and Anisha. I also know professional boxing, so if anyone bothers you in Korea, don’t worry.
